The Mouratoglou Tennis Centre in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can help you develop your children’s tennis skills. Lessons take place surrounded by towering palms at Madinat Jumeirah or at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, which boasts magnificent views of Burj Al Arab. The centre offers classes for all ages and abilities, ensuring they’ll become a pro in no time.

For an island hit about, check out the outdoor courts at Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi, just south of Dubai. Alternatively, Jumeirah Maldives Olhahali Island hosts friendly tennis practice for kids on the world’s most spectacular tennis court, set among palm trees, white beaches and the turquoise water of the surrounding Indian Ocean.

Cooking classes

What could be better than sharpening your children’s cooking skills with the Indian Ocean glittering in the background? At Jumeirah Maldives Olhahali Island, our Mediterranean-style beachside restaurant Shimmers is the perfect place to nurture the talents of young cooks. With guidance from our team of chefs, children will learn the secrets of making the perfect pizza, from kneading dough to seasoning the sauce. All that’s left for them to do next is pile on the cheese, go wild with the toppings and enjoy the fruits of their labour by the beach.

Alternatively, your little ones can adopt the sushi or pastry chef role at Jumeirah Bali, set on the Indonesian island’s stunning southern-western Uluwatu, Bukit Peninsula overlooking the Indian Ocean. Our accomplished sushi chefs will teach them how to roll some tasty and healthy creations at our Permaculture Organic Garden while those with a sweet tooth – that’s every child then – can hone their cake decorating skills.

Feeding turtles

For young scientists and inquisitive minds, Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts offers some unique chances to familiarise children with the underwater world.

The Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project helps rehabilitate turtles which have been injured from fishing hooks and other marine debris before releasing them back into the wild. With their existence increasingly under threat of extinction, the project is an important effort to help the species. After spending some time recuperating in Burj Al Arab’s spectacular aquarium, your children will be brought to Jumeirah Al Naseem where they can watch the majestic creatures in Turtle Lagoon, learn more about them and feed them.

Seven species of turtles can also be found nesting at Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort’s Turtle Conservation Project, where little ones can put all their burning questions to our Dive Team.

 

Citizen science sessions

Children can experience the underwater kingdom that surrounds Jumeirah Maldives Olhahali Island for themselves at our Dive Centre. Whether planting coral to do their bit for the reefs surrounding the island or jumping in a semi-submerged submarine for a trip through the aquascapes, your young marine biologist's passions are sure to be nurtured.

Jumeirah Bali also offers a chance for kids to get closer to their underwater friends, with the opportunity to feed fish in colourful ponds around the resort.
