Here are the top picks from our spas in Italy, Mallorca and the United Arab Emirates (UAE):
Capri, Italy
Hot Stone Ritual | 80 minutes
Nestled on Italy’s west coast, Capri Island lies in the shadow of the active volcano Mt Vesuvius. Rich in minerals, the land is used to cultivate flower orchards and tomatoes – as well as the lemon trees and vineyards Italy is known for. But that’s not all.
Volcanic lava is packed with iron, calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium and sulphur, so as well as enhancing our soil, it nurtures our skin, too.
It makes sense, then, that
Capri Palace Jumeirah’s wellness clinic
Capri Medical Spa uses the natural gold on its doorstep in its treatments. During an 80-minute hot stone ritual, your therapist will massage your muscles with locally-sourced lava stones. As the soothing, gentle heat radiates into your skin, tension dissolves and muscle and joint pain and fibromyalgia symptoms are relieved.
Capri Medical Spa’s location in the Gulf of Naples means it can also take advantage of the Tyrrhenian Sea that surrounds it. Want to linger in the spa? Then try the 50-minute thalassotherapeutic scrub. Your therapist will cleanse you with sea salt enriched with essential oils to leave your skin feeling baby soft. Alternatively, opt for the spa’s signature treatment, The Leg School, which involves the application of clay and cool bandages to treat vascular problems in the lower limbs.
Mallorca, Spain
Signature Massage | 90 minutes
The Balearic island of Mallorca in the Mediterranean is best known for its beaches. Explore inland, however, and you will discover the Tramuntana mountain range – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – in the west, which the heated outdoor pool of Talise Spa at
Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa overlooks.
The island’s mild, sunny climate means orange and lemon groves thrive in the central plains, while an aloe vera plantation grows in the east.
Talise Spa’s one-hour or 90-minute signature massage uses olive, almond and citrus oils from Mallorca’s natural larder, while our 90-minute aloe vera hydrating body wrap – which includes exfoliation, wrapping and a massage – hydrates the skin.
Abu Dhabi, the UAE
Pearl-infused Remineralising Body Mask Treatment | 90 minutes
The UAE’s Rub’ al Khali desert, or the Empty Quarter, is lined with date trees and farms growing spices such as sumac and zaatar, while islands are scattered off the coast of the capital, Abu Dhabi. Saadiyat is one such island, where pearl divers once hu
nted for oysters.
Jumeirah Saadiyat Island Resort’s Spa makes the most of its location, using native ingredients in its treatments. Opt for a 90-minute pearl-infused remineralising body mask treatment and your therapist will exfoliate your body before applying a mineral-rich mask permeated with pearl and conch shell extracts to stimulate skin cells. While cocooned in the mask, you’ll receive a soothing face massage.
Alternatively, relax your muscles and soften your skin by steaming in the hammam before a one-hour Emirates hammam treatment, which uses body oil saturated with mineral-rich camel milk, Arabian coffee, zaatar and dates from Ras Al Khaimah emirate.
You can also unwind in the hammam’s one-hour, 45-minute awakening solar ritual. Your therapist will exfoliate your skin with Arabian Sea salt – which is rich in vitamin D as it’s drawn from local solar panels – before massaging you with saffron-scented oil.
Dubai, the UAE
The Royal Hammam | 60 minutes
The world-famous and award-winning Palm Jumeirah is one of the largest man-made islands globally. Palm Jumeirah is a landmark in engineering, shaped like a date palm – the national plant of the UAE- when viewed from the top.
Located on the West Crescent of the iconic Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is home to the ultimate indulgence, Talise Ottoman Spa, one of the largest and most luxurious award-winning spas in the Middle East. Spread over 8,200sqm, treatments take place amid ornate fountains, mosaics, murals and wood carvings, earning the spa accolades in the Condé Nast Travel Awards, Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards and World Travel Awards.
Your wellness journey begins in the Royal Majlis of the Turkish hammam, at the heart of the spa. Upon entering the hammam, you’ll feel the gentle warmth from the marble goebekta, a heated stone table used to relax your muscles, as your therapist rinses your body with water from a marble kurna basin. Choose from an array of hammam styles, from our traditional Turkish hammam with coffee peeling to our signature treatment, the Royal Ottoman.
For a memorable experience, whether for yourself or with your loved one, opt for our Royal hammam where you’ll relax in a spectacular room with delicate aromas reserved for the eponymous treatment. Enjoy a traditional body polish with a kese mitt and foam massage before being enveloped in a honey mask to revitalise your skin’s complexion.
Jumeirah Maldives

Jumeirah Maldives Olhahali Island, you and your partner will be escorted up to the private rooftop on your Over Water Villa, which your Host will transform into a haven of flickering candlelight. Following a couples’ massage you can enjoy a delicious dinner under the stars.
Alternatively, if you’re staying in our Beach Villas you’ll enjoy a magical candlelit open beach setting for your couples ritual. Uluwatu, Bali
Jagaraga Massage | 90 minutes
The Indonesian island of Bali is renowned for its spirituality, and its Hindus believe that a divine energy is stored at the base of your spine, known as kundalini. During a Jagaraga treatment at Jumeirah Bali – which is inspired by a Javanese-Hindu water palace – our therapists harness this powerful energy through a kundalini body massage to enhance your mental wellbeing.
This relaxing treatment is designed to calm your nervous system and enhance your sleep through the powerful vibrations and sound resonance of a singing bowl. Your masseuse will rhythmically massage your back with a blend of signature oils and heated volcanic stones, stimulating the body’s ability to repair its cells and allowing you to experience a sensory reboot.
Once you’ve relaxed in our spas, dine on local ingredients in Capri Palace Jumeirah’s Il Riccio, Jumeirah Port Soller’s Cap Roig Brasserie, Majlis at Saadiyat Island Resort, Shimmers at Jumeirah Maldives Olhahali Island, Al Nafoorah at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray and Segaran Dining Terrace at Jumeirah Bali.
