Located in the stunning Uluwatu region, the all-villa luxury resort of Jumeirah Bali makes the most of the most of its beachside location – giving access to a range of activities that make for the ultimate romantic retreat.
Inspired by Hindu-Javanese culture and a verdant water-based sanctuary of luxury, Jumeirah Bali has been carefully designed to resemble one of the island’s historic water palaces. This means guests are never far away from the opportunity to immerse themselves – whether in their spacious villa’s private pool or the vast blue Indian Ocean, accessed from the sweeping white sands of Uluwatu. Meanwhile, the Maja Sunset Pool Lounge is the perfect place to enjoy a drink together at the end of a day’s explorations before sampling authentic Balinese cuisine at Segaran Dining Terrace. For an unforgettable experience with your partner, you can book our Romantic Dinner, available at the Mantra Gazebo and Segaran Restaurant, or if you prefer, we can set up a private table on your villa’s spacious terrace, scattered with petals to create a magical setting for a memorable evening.
For blissful beachside experiences, take a barefoot stroll along Jimbaran, a four-kilometre stretch of sand that offers unforgettable views as the sun dips below the horizon. A little further south, Dreamland Beach is one of Bali’s most renowned surfing beaches, with challenging reef breaks that attract intrepid riders from around the world.
Just off the coast of Bali, there are plenty of idyllic islands to explore. Like the peaceful Gili Meno, which invites couples to slow down and take some time out to relax together in a shaded hammock, stroll hand-in-hand through the warm, shallow water or snorkel its coral reefs.
While inland, there’s the opportunity to discover Ubud’s Royal Palace, which is surrounded by the island’s lush interior – expect to find emerald-green rice paddies and artisanal craft workshops that are the perfect place to pick up a souvenir to return home with.
Situated in the renowned Coral Triangle, Bali’s rich biodiversity means that it’s a snorkelling hotspot where it's possible to come face-to-face with some incredible marine life. Set off together on an aquatic adventure amid the coral gardens of the Blue Lagoon and spot cuttlefish and moray eels darting through the coral. Alternatively, discover Lembongan island, just 20km off the southeast coast of Bali. Here, safe from the area’s current-swept reefs, sheltered Mangrove Point is home to more than 250 species of fish – from angelfish to wrasse.
Aside from snorkelling, it’s possible to take to the water by boat to discover Bali’s atmospheric caves and caverns. Uncover the hidden canyon of Beji Guwang with its pools, waterfalls and time-worn rocks as part of a white water rafting excursion and enter Pura Goa Lawah, which is one of the holiest sites on the island.
Venture towards the centre of the island and its natural springs await. Take a dip in the warm waters of Angseri, which have been heated by the magma of Mount Batukaru. This dormant volcano is the island’s highest peak. If you feel like embarking on an outdoor adventure together, the challenging hike to the summit that passes through the tropical rainforest will give you a rewarding sense of joint accomplishment.
Learn more about the island’s sacred traditions with a visit to one of its many peaceful sea temples, such as Pura Luhur Uluwatu. Perched 70 metres above the sea on the edge of a cliff, it’s a highly photogenic spectacle that’s believed to ward off evil spirits. Also, on the water, but to the North of the island, the large floating complex of Ulun Danu Bratan on the shores of Lake Beratan makes for a serene spot.
Meanwhile, at Jumeirah Bali’s Talise Spa, there’s a relaxing opportunity to experience ancient Balinese wellness practices within the surroundings of a traditional Turkish hammam. Enjoy the tranquillity of the private treatment rooms and steam and sauna facilities, before selecting an energising massage, cleansing scrub or stress-release treatment. Finally, be led through a series of meditative yoga poses during a guided sunrise or sunset meditation session.
Experience the best of adventure, dining and culture with your loved one on an island escape with Jumeirah Bali as your base.
